The Full Story
Khodaei Tennis Legacy
From the groundbreaking career of Moharam Khodaei to Farshid Khodaei's continuation of the family's tennis tradition.

The Beginning
Moharram Khodaei was a prominent early Iranian tennis player, the 1974 under-18 Asian doubles champion and an under-21 World Championship finalist. A top-eight finisher at the 1975 Orange Bowl, he also secured four other international junior titles. A five-time Davis Cup player (9-6 record), Khodaei pioneered the two-handed backhand in Iran and had notable matches against Mike Fishbach and Rod Laver. He has served as the Davis Cup coach for Iran, and coaches now with Farshid in Orange County, California.

Born into the Game: Farshid's Early Tennis Training
Mo Khodaei's ascent to Iranian tennis fame in the 1970s set the stage for his son Farshid's early immersion in the sport. From toddlerhood, Farshid underwent intense 5:00 am training sessions with his father, quickly translating this dedication into victories in junior tournaments.

Farshid Khodaei: Bringing Pro Experience to Orange County Coaching
Residing permanently in Orange County, Farshid Khodaei, a former professional player with over 20 years of coaching experience, established Khodaei Top Tennis, where his father, the legendary Moharam, also coaches. Farshid won multiple titles and represented his country in the Davis Cup junior team. After winning Division 1 titles in Australia and competing in ITF and Futures events across Europe, the Tennis Australia and PTR certified coach transitioned to full-time coaching with the Tennis Federation of Australia, now dedicating his expertise to players of all levels in Orange County.
